My Coursework!

The coursework brief that I will be planning on doing is Brief Three- this would be the Nutunes Records brief. I have picked to do this brief because I'm really interested with the music industry and alongside this I feel that picking this brief will give me more experience as I believe that by picking this brief it will mean that I will have more experience with the music and media side of things,which I would like to be working with in the the future. Another reason on why I would want to pick Brief Three and not any other briefs is because I believe I would be better at promoting music, than I would be with something such as film for example. I believe I would be better at promoting music{which is something I have to do in brief three} than I would with something as film because I am more familar with music than I am with films. So I believe this is the best brief to choose for me because I more likely know what I'm going to do with this brief rather than brief one for example, because I'd be pretty clueless on what ideas I should come up with.

The platforms that I have decided to do would be the Print and I would also like to be working on the E-media after that, so these are two platforms that I have choosen to do.

For the e-media task, I will try and create a website that would be aimed for people who are 16-24 years old. In this e-media task I'm going to try and keep everything looking consistant and I will try my best to try and make everything look as professional as I can make it. Alongside this, on the e-media task I will also try and keep my house style all normal and all together so nothing looks awkward or out of place. I will be trying to create a website with at least three pages, I will be trying to create a home page, I would like to try and create a page which is about the band. Alongside this I also want to create another page which will be about the tour and the band. The website that I am going to try and make I will be trying to use Dreamweaver to create it. I'm not going to go overboard with the design, I just basically would a smiple scheme so everything looks good and I'll hopefully try and make it look professional. I also know I have to try and create their social networking sites and I'll also try and get my logo on each and everything page that I have. If I can't do that, I'll definately try and get the logo on my homepage. The website that I want to produce should be aimed for people from 16-24 year olds, so in my website, that I am going to try and produce, I want everything that I put into it to try and look for something that should be aimed for this target audience. On the design of my website I want to to look good, so it would promote the actual band as if the band is real. The house-style is something I want to keep looking consistant and I want to do that because I believe a website would look its best when the website looks similar on each page and doesn't look completely different, otherwise I believe that this gives the impression that the website has been overly done or hasn't been done enough.

I am now going to talk about what I want in the print task, I hopefully will be able to create around three pages of promotional material to create some things that will be able  able to do with the bands debut album, as well as promoting so things such things as their tour that ''my band'' will be doing in the future. I really want the band genre to be based around punk/pop, I really want my band to be this because I feel there is some room for a band like this and pop/punk band's don't really get the recognition that they deserve. The reason I have chosen this is because I want to make this something unique so having a it a pop/punk band, I can make it my own. The target audience again would be 16-24 year olds as I believe these are the most kind of people who would go to these concerts, hence why I believe this would be the right target audience for what I want. I will try and create a full page advert, and I will also try and create the bands upcoming debut album promotional. The other thing I will try and create would be a flyer, promoting that the band tour is going to come along soon. I believe by creating these three things like I said before-so the flyer, the full page advert and also the promotional tour advert. I really want to do something with a band or solo singer that has got to do with pop/punk music and I really want to do this because in flyers or anything along those lines that have to do with promoting a pop/punk band that's not just based on pop or punk, you hardly see any recognisition for bands such as them-and there is a lot of pop/punk bands in the world.
